Lage Vuursche is a village in the woods on between Amsterdam and Utrecht, near Hilversum. It is famous for it’s pancake restaurants, so very crowded in the weekend. Go there on a quiet weekday in December and you’ll find tranquility with some forest treasures.

Tree ornament: toadstool. On the right: a little mushroom mountain.
